Victor the dreamer
　　LOOKING at Victor Wong, sitting wearing his trademark (標志性的) black-framed glasses, you might think the Malaysian-born singer to be a gentle, scholarly (學者氣質的) sort of young man. He seems like a big child who needs to be taken care of. But appearances can be deceptive (欺騙性的) .
　　"I'm the kind of person who wants to try everything that's weird (奇怪的) and terrifying. I get a high from taking up challenges," he said while promoting his new album All for Love (《一切為了愛》).
　　As a teenager, Wong was part of his middle school's "police force", whose job was to deal with the bad guys on campus. Wong had a "police" ID card, and had to do special training. Sometimes, the force would work with the local police on actual criminal (犯罪的) cases.
　　"Because I was rather physically weak, others made fun of me," he said, explaining why he joined up. "That's why I joined the campus police; I knew my classmates wouldn't try to bully (欺負) me any more. The tests I had to pass were difficult. I had to toughen up (變強壯) bodily and get good grades too."
　　Wong said that as he grew older, he began to dream about the career he could have. He wanted to be a pilot, a real-estate (房地產(chǎn)) agent and an actor. But above all he made music his goal.
　　As a child he would sing along with Elvis Presley (貓王) discs, copying the American star's famously sexy body moves. In fact, he still loves singing in English. It's the reason why he released his album of English songs, Need You Most, two years ago.
　　But Wong's musical personality is that of a sensitive soul. His new album, All for Love, continues with the romantic ballads (流行歌曲) of his previous work.
　　"I've experienced a lot in life, but I can tell you, nothing beats love. Fame and money just can't compete with it" , said Wong of the concept behind the new songs.
